Lorne Elkin
Lorne Elkin, aged 77 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Thursday, January 29th, 2015. He was born on December 1st, 1937 in Moose Jaw, SK. Lorne was a Psychology Professor at the University of Regina for over 20 years. He was involved with the Churchill Park Green House since it’s opening in the early 1970’s and enjoyed being a retired resident of Churchill Park for many years. He was predeceased by his parents, Hubert and Elsie. Lorne will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Joy; sons, Ché (Fiona Johnston) of Prince George, BC and Kim of Moose Jaw, SK; grandchildren: 3 ½ year old twins, Felix and Xavier; twin brother, Larry (Cappy) Elkin of Yellowknife, NT; sister, Joanne Crofford (Vick Tiebde); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 4th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Joanne Crofford leading the service. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Lorne’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.
