Beryl Patricia Eastman
July 10th, 1941 – June 17th, 2010
It is with great sorrow that we, her children, say good bye to Beryl Patricia Eastman. Beryl was born on July 10, 1941. She was the third of five daughters born to parents Howard and Katherine Eastman of Kendal, SK. Many of you will know her from the Chaplin and Central Butte area where she raised her family. Later moving to Moose Jaw, she started her career working at Canadays, Woolco, Canadian Tire and Giant Tiger where she was employed at the time of her passing. Mom enjoyed sewing, having made many dresses for weddings, dance, and Halloween. Her favorite weekend past time was gardening. She would sit on her deck reading or doing puzzle books and watching the wildlife that seemed to call her yard home. She always had a coffee in her hand and a fresh pot on for those who stopped by, or one sitting on the table for those long conversations on the phone. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Howard and Katherine, and her sister Kathy. She is survived by her children, Karen(Ben) Behnke, of Katepwa Lake, Kevin Roberton of Lafleche, Tracy (Dave) Erz of Moose Jaw; her grandchildren, Kristine (Jesse) Kitchen, Sandy (Mark) Chabot, Chantel Balerud, Cherissa and Quinn Roberton, and Keegan and Kaitlyn Erz; great-grandchildren, Natalia and Liam Balerud, Madison and Nicholas Kitchen, and Hudson and Kayle Chabot. Beryl is also survived by her step-daughter, Darlene(Danny)Glass of Chaplin; and step-grandchildren, Vivian Glass, Ian Glass, Jeff (Terrie)Glass, Melissa(Ryan)Mclaren, Leona(Troy) Hammer, Lisa(Steve) Froude, Travis(Jessica) Hammer; and step-great grandchildren, Jadyn and Kristen Kreutzer, Austin, Carson and Dylan Glass, Cody and Kailyn Hammer, Sami and Kiara Hammer, Conner, Austin and Tehya Hammer; her sisters, Mavis Tucker, Sheila (Pat) Schmitz, and Norma (Garth) Polley; along with numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 25th, 2010 at 11:00 AM in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Thomson will officiate. Burial of cremains will take place in the family plot at Central Butte Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Sask., 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, SK., S7K 2H8 or to Canadian Breast Cancer Society, 125 Michigan Ave., Point Edward, ON., N7V 1E5.
