Audrey Lindquist Eastham
Audrey Lindquist Eastham, aged 96 years of Chaplin, SK, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, June 9th, 2014 at Regency Manor in Central Butte. She was born March 11th, 1918 on the Lindquist family farm near Valjean, SK. She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Christina; her sisters: Ella, Ina, Minnie, Mabel and Hattie; and her brother, Lorne. Audrey is survived by her daughter, Judy Benner of Nanaimo, BC; granddaughter, Kelly (Chris) of Nanaimo; granddaughter, Quinn (Bryan) of Peace River, AB; three great-grandchildren of whom she was very proud; and many nieces, nephews and their children. She enjoyed watching hockey and golf on TV, playing crib with her friends at the pool hall, and making animal-shaped pancakes for all the kids. She left the Valjean area in the early 1940’s and moved to Nanaimo, BC where she met and married Harry Eastham, who predeceased her in 1969. She remained in BC until the late 1980’s when she returned home to Chaplin. Mom, Grandma (Bubba), Aunt Audrey – you will be forever in our hearts. Audrey’s family wishes to thank the dedicated and compassionate staff and caregivers at Regency Manor. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, July 27th, 2014 at 1:00 p.mm at the Chaplin Lutheran Church. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and interment will take place at Chaplin Cemetery.
