Cecil Winfield Duzan
Cecil Winfield Duzan, aged 88 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, January 26th, 2019. Cecil was born in the Ormiston district and worked at the mine in Ormiston for over 40 years. He married Helen Dunham and together they raised 5 children. Cecil was proud of having the greenest grass on the block. He took pride in restoring old tractors, but above all, Cecil was proud of all his family and their accomplishments. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen; grandson, Chris; and son-in-law, Greg. Cecil will be lovingly remembered by his children: Karen (Peter) Poshtar, Janet Ludwar, Candace Duzan, Randy, and Jerry (Laura); grandchildren: Paula, Amanda (Kerry), Joel, Ashley (Dan), Jillian (Blake), Taylor (Rayelle), Austin, and Shayna; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and uncle, Gordon (Doreen) Walter. He also leaves behind his best friend and companion “Willie”. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 1st, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Luther will officiate and interment will take place in Sunset Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Cecil’s name may be made to the Ormiston Community Hall c/o Steve Lidberg, General Delivery, Ormiston, SK S0H 3H0. Passing on my condolences to the family. A few years back we [Leonard] our son Blair and Grandaughter Mhairi visited Cecil and Helen. our Grandaughter loved sitting on all of the tractors, she was 6 at the time, she is now 18, so a long time ago
