Bruce Cameron Duncan
Bruce Cameron Duncan, born June 12th, 1934 on the family farm south of Parkbeg, passed away Tuesday, August 7th, 2012 in Moose Jaw, SK. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Davina; brother, David; sister, Margaret; brother-in-law, Floyd and sister-in-law, Geri. Bruce will be greatly missed by his wife of 55 years, Leona and their children: Daryl (Karen) Duncan and Michael (Dawn), Hunter, James (Tamara) and Katherine, Sylvia (Terry) Thorlakson and Ryan Dreger (Rachelle), Wyatt and Levi, Crystal Dreger (Darryl), Hayden and Hailey, and Teanna Lafond, Laurel (Dean) Chelsberg and Brett, Trista and Tyson, Cameron Duncan and Jarred, Reed and Hannah. He is also survived by his brother, Gordon; sister, Helen; brother-in-law, Emil; sister-in-law, Mary and many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 11th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Cantelon will officiate and interment will follow in Chaplin Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Bruce loved the family farm and working with his hands. He loved being outside working with the cattle, they were more like pets than anything. He loved wildlife and nature. He liked to hunt as well. Bruce had a very good sense of humor and played many a practical joke on family and friends. His dogs Rollie and Rebel were his to spoil and they went everywhere with him on the farm. Bruce was a councilman on the R.M. of Wheatlands for 16 years. Friends and neighbors he liked to visit with and has finally met again in heaven are Howard Smith, Bob Ramsey, Les Cummers, Kenny Pearman, Alfred and Ida Leopkey, George Copeland and Chuck Johnson, just to mention a few, playing cards or having a beer (or a few). Flowers are gratefully declined.
