Austin Gary Alexander Duncan
Austin Gary Alexander Duncan of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed unexpectedly on November 23, 2019. Austin was predeceased by his grandmother, Judith Duncan, great grandfather and mother Alex and Helen Duncan, great-grandfather, Elmer McBurney; great-grandmother, Mary Myers; uncle, Cliff Duncan and grandfather, Mel Ayerst. He is survived by his parents, Steve Duncan and Janet Knelsen; two brothers, Jordan (Amanda) and Reid Duncan; sister, Brooklyn Miller; niece, Noella Jane Austina Marie Duncan; grandparents, Gary and Bonnie Duncan and Ray and Leslie Knelsen; aunts and uncles, Kris and Rob Slastukin (Dustin Duncan, Dallas, and Dillon) Michael and Robin Seabrook(Ryder and Tucker), Melinda Duncan (Marjorie and Dora), Michael and Jolene Knelsen( Jacob and Rebecca), Susan and Robert Johnson as well as his Godparents, Cory Duncan and Kerri Priddle. Austin was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on August 9, 1997, and then after a few years moved to his father’s home town of Coronach, Saskatchewan to grow up with friends and family close by. In 2010, Steve met Janet and moved the family back to Moose Jaw, where Austin attended Lindale School, and thereafter, Peacock Collegiate. Austin graduated from Peacock with honours in 2015, where he then worked between 18 Wheeler and Gerald Steel Products before finding his home working alongside his dad at Robertson Implements. Austin was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back. He was always so full of life and laughter, and generally the center of the party. He is a son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, grandson, and friend that will not be forgotten.
A Funeral Service for Austin will be held on Saturday, November 30, at 2 p.m. at the Moose Jaw Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Austin may be sent to Gary Duncan, Box 339, Coronach, SK S0H 0Z0 for the future education fund for his niece, Noella Duncan.
