Florence “Daisy” Draper
On the wings of an angel, Florence “Daisy” Draper left her home on Earth Monday, April 26th, 2010, to join her beloved Grandson Tyler Lariviere and Son-in- Law Robert McVittie. in Heaven. Daisy leaves behind to cherish her life and memory her husband of 70 years, Francis (Frank) Draper, sons Robert Draper – Moose Jaw, Donald (Joann)Draper – Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, David (Rose) Draper-Petaluma – California and daughters Sandi McVittie-Clive – Alberta, Sheila (D’Arcy) Dann – Moose Jaw and Susie (Roland) Lariviere – Moose Jaw. Her last remaining sister, Amy Marshall, still resides in the Toronto area where Daisy came into this world on August 17, 1921. As part of her legacy of love, 17 Grandchildren, many Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren are saying their goodbyes in their hearts today. Daisy and Frank came to Moose Jaw from Ontario in 1957 to live at R.C.A.F. Station (now 15 Wing) Moose Jaw with their 6 children and chose to remain in Moose Jaw upon their retirement. Daisy ended her working career in 1981 as manager of the Harvard Credit Union and with her husband Frank worked at “volunteerism” in our community. How she found time for all her organizations while babysitting Grandkids is amazing! She was a faithful member of the Moose Jaw Rotary Club to her last able days. At Daisy’s request there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial will be held at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. For those so wishing, donations in memory of Florence may be made to Child Find Saskatchewan, 202-3502 Taylor Street East, Saskatoon, SK. S7H 5H9.
