Margie Drake
December 18, 1952 – April 16, 2015

Margie Kae Drake (Hill) passed away after a brief illness with her family by her side on April 16, 2015.  Margie was born December 18, 1952.  She was raised in Moose Jaw and attended Prince Arthur School and A. E. Peacock Collegiate.  Following high school, she worked at St. Anthony’s home.  On May 22, 1976 she married Rodney Drake.  They lived in Moose Jaw where they started a family with the birth of their sons…Jonathan, April 30, 1977 and Kent, June 15, 1978.  Rodney and Margie then moved to the Baildon District in 1980.  It was here where they welcomed their third child, Michelle on April 24, 1986.  After raising the three children, Margie returned to the work force, taking up employment at the Super 8.  She spent her retirement years enjoying her grandchildren.  Predeceased by her father, Alfred Hill.  Margie will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Kae Hill; husband, Rodney; son, Jonathan (Kelley); son, Kent (Kara); daughter, Michelle (Lawrence); grandchildren: Easton, Edge, Kavis, Kollins, Raymond, Eva and Leroy; sister, Aletha (Bill) and brother, Raymond.  The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Unit 3B of the Pasqua Hospital Regina for their incredible care and compassion.  The Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Silvester officiating.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Margie’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Calvin Gammel, Funeral Director 306-693-4550.
