RALPH ALLEN DODS
March 11th, 1931 – July 22nd, 2024
Ralph Allen Dods aged 93 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Monday, July 22nd, 2024. He was predeceased by his wife, Gladys; parents, Clifford and Pearl; sons: Allen, Keith, and Melvin; and siblings: George, Neil, and Dorothy. Ralph is survived by his siblings: Glen, Sharon and Bill; grandson, Steve (Paula) Dods; granddaughter, Sherry (Sasa) Jovovic; great-grandchildren: Paige, Zaydin, Drew, and Oaklan; and great-great-granddaughter, Autumn.
Ralph was known for his selfless personality, always being a caretaker for his friends and family. He always put his family first and was described as more of a father figure than a brother, as when his father passed away at an early age, Ralph stepped forward to take care of the family.
Ralph worked at Patterson Motors and Band City Chev Olds as an autobody technician. He worked all day at the garage, came home for supper, and then went back out to the garage. He was the hardest worker his family and friends knew.
Ralph was also one of the sharpest, quick-witted people around. He didn’t miss a beat and would wait until the perfect time to slide in his little digs to let everyone know he knew exactly what was going on. These were always followed with a mischievous smile and giggle.
A Celebration of Ralph’s Life will be held on Saturday, August 10th, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Church of Christ, 901 James St, Moose Jaw, SK. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Ralph’s name may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre c/o Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Ave, Regina, SK S4T 7T1 or Church of Christ, 901 James St, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 3H5. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Cara Ashworth Funeral Director 306-693-4550
I express my deepest sympathy. The Bible promises that your loved one will come to life again on a beautiful paradise earth when death will be no more in John 5:28, 29 and Revelation 21:4.
Please accept our condolences on the passing of Mr Dods. We will keep him and all of you in our prayers. PS: sometimes his little digs were all that small but meant in good fun. He will be missed.
