WINNIFRED BLANCHE DIXON (JUDY) (née Eberle)
October 7th, 1946 – August 10th, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and sister. Judy passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Bob; parents, Frederick Raymond Eberle and Blanche Anna (Wallace) Eberle; and brother, Brent Eberle. Judy is survived by her daughter, Lesley (Wayne) Cochrane of Moose Jaw, SK; son, Christopher Dixon of Whitecourt, AB; the apples of her eye, her grandchildren: Courtney, Devon, Charlize and Brianna; brother, Maurice (Nancy) Eberle; sisters-in-law: Penny Eberle, Rosemary (Bob) Ambrose, Linda (Norman) Spooner, and Teresa (Ed) Yohamas; brother-in law, Brian (Terri) Dixon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was a devoted wife and mother, she dedicated her life to looking after us. In her moments of spare time, mom volunteered with organizations such as the Moose Jaw Family Life Center. Mom and Dad did everything together, they loved to attend the Moose Jaw Warrior hockey games and in the early years of their marriage never missed a chance to attend the S.S.R.R. dances with their friends. After Dad’s passing, mom stayed busy with keeping up with the grandchildren, she went to Whitecourt to visit Charlize and Brianna and watch them play soccer. She went to horse shows to watch Courtney and travelled with Devon to watch him compete in rodeos. We would like to thank the very special care aides who spent time with Mom and helped in each of their own ways, Kim and Sheila for all your compassion, understanding and help over the past few months – thank you, and to all our friends and neighbors, what you thought of as small gestures were large to us. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday August 17th, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3rd Ave NW, Moose Jaw, SK. Father Hector Seville will be the presiding celebrant and interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. Flowers are most gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Judy’s name may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation, 3602 Millar Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7P 0B1. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
