CARMELLA MARY ELIZABETH (CARM) DIACON
July 3rd, 1927 – January 1st, 2020
Carm passed away peacefully at Chateau St. Michael with family by her side on Wednesday, January 1st, 2020. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Sylvia (née Bertsch); husband, Phil; sisters, Dolores (Jim) Gillis and Marge (Tony) Andree; and brothers, Charles (Holly) Spiess and Jack (Susan) Spiess. Carm leaves to mourn, her daughters: Kathy (Dave) Churko, Mary (Ron) Brumwell and Laurianne (Pat) Petrie; sons: Rick (Marilyn), Jack (Faye), Doug (Dianna), Michael (Pam), Laverne (Candace) and Robert (Colleen); 24 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Barbara) Spiess; brother-in-law, Tony Andree; and sisters-in-law, Holly Spiess and Nadine (Tony) Cooper. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 8th, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3rd Ave NE, Moose Jaw, SK. Father George Thattuparampil and Father Ronald Andree will be concelebrants and interment will take place in Sunset Cemetery at a later date. A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, January 7th, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carm’s name may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 4101 Dewdney Ave, Regina, SK S4T 7T1.
