Peter Junior Daniel
Peter Junior Daniel passed away peacefully at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital on June 26th, 2010 at the age of 85 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Peter was born on the family farm near Avonlea, which he farmed until his retirement to Moose Jaw. Peter served on many boards in Avonlea, including the R.M. of Redburn, Co-op, Wheat Pool, Moose Jaw Union Hospital and Providence Hospital. Peter led the Multi 4H club. His passions included hunting, fishing, photography and travelling, especially with his family. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Grace Daniel; sisters, Darlene June Daniel and Anna May Akins; brothers, Marvin Daniel and Elmer Daniel; and son-in-law, Ken Harley. Peter is survived by his wife, Shirley Daniel; daughters, Judith Harley of Nokomis, Mary Lou Daniel (Bob Wynia) of Sherwood Park, and Lana Daniel of Regina; sons, Peter Dwain Daniel (Joan) of Prince Albert, David Daniel of Moose Jaw, and Glen Daniel of Avonlea; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Irene Greggains; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Daniel, Audrey Sovdi, Margaret Miller and Reta Waugh (Ralph); and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 2nd, 2010 at 2:00 pm in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Reverend Marilyn Keerak officiating. Visitation for family and friends will take place Thursday, July 1st, 2010 from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.
