Helen Johan Daly

Daly – Helen Johan Daly aged 76 years, of Moose Jaw , Saskatchewan , passed away suddenly on December 11 th , 2006. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 14 th , 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in Minto United Church , 1036 7 th Ave. N.W. Rev. John Carley will officiate and burial of cremated remains will take place in Rosedale Cemetery – Veteran’s Section. Helen was born March 17 th , 1930 in Winnipeg , Man. She attended St. Mary’s academy. Following graduation from business college, Helen moved to CFB Churchill, where she met her beloved husband and soul mate, Jim, of 54 years. Over her 40 year career, Helen worked in administration for various government agencies. During her retirement in Moose Jaw , Helen became actively involved in community services including: the Humane Society, English as a Second Language, Legion Auxiliary, United Church programs and choir. Helen’s real delight was in her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and took joy in her grandchildren and great grandchild. Helen was a giving spirit and excelled at expressing her concern for others. She was an animated person and passed on a love of laughter to her children. Helen was predeceased by her parents. She leaves behind her husband John James “Jim” Daly; children Margaret (Mike) Sears, Jay (Theda) Daly, and Kathie (John) Powell; grandchildren: Nicholas, Stephen (Calli) Sikora, Sarah, Rayna, and Jill Powell; great granddaughter Kaiya Sikora; brother Donald (Peggy) Sly and family. Helen will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Moose Jaw Humane Society Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw , Sk. , S6H 9Z9 in Helen’s name.
