Marie Cummings

Marie Cummings of Moose Jaw and formerly of Hodgeville, Saskatchewan passed away on Wednesday, March 18th, 2009 at the age of 89 years. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 21st, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate with burial at St. Boswells Cemetery at a later date. Marie was born in Killkenny, Manitoba later moving to Braelorne, B.C. to work. She met and married Hugh Cummings on March 29th, 1946. They moved to Hodgeville to the Cummings Homestead where they lived until 1977. Marie moved to White Court, Alberta and later to Moose Jaw. Marie was called “mother” by all who met her. She was predeceased by her parents Dymitriu and Violet Danish; father-in-law and mother-in-law William and Elizabeth Cummings; stepmother-in-law Edna; beloved husband Hugh; son-in-law Gary Boos; one sister Mary in infancy; brothers Bill, Harry, Alex, George and John; sisters Dora Wakaluk, Lena Klimchuk, Anne Thomasson and Sophie Kirby; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Marie is survived by her loving children Carol (Larry) Hahn, Wayne (Donna), Linda Boos, William (Joyce), Craig and Paul; her precious grandchildren Scott (Toni) Hahn, Candace Duval (John Loch), Jeannie Cummings, Brett (Julie) Cummings, Michael Schellenberg, Terri Boos (Kim Harkes), Robin (Rick) Constable, Nicole Cummings (Matt Sims), Jocelyn Cummings and Jordan Cummings; great grandchildren Coleman Jarvis-Hahn, Courtney Duval (Joel LaRoque), Branden Duval, Samuel Loch, Jessica Loch, Brayden Cummings, Izabel Cummings, Tyler Harkes, Austin Harkes, Andon Constable, Shaylan Constable, Tess Sims and Finnlay Sims; sisters-in-law Anne Danish, Alice Danish, Betty Haubrich and Jean Johnston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
