Don Craig
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Don on Thursday August 20, 2009 at the age of 66 years. Don was born on April 20, 1943 in Tuxford, SK. He grew up in the Westlake area and married Iris Windsor in 1965. Don worked for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool for several years before moving to Regina in 1970 and starting a career in the Insurance business. In 1977, Don and Iris returned to Moose Jaw where he continued his career and passion for helping people in the Insurance business until he semi-retired in 2006. Don was a friend to all and cherished spending time with his family and friends, in particular his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Ester and Lloyd Craig, three brothers-in-law John Watt, Merv May and John Wenarchuk. Don will be sadly missed by Iris, his loving wife of 44 years; his son David (Jenaya) and their daughter Sydney and son Jaxson; his daughter Sherry(Mike) Norris and her daughter Kiersten. Don is also survived by sisters Joanne Watt, Judy Parker and Janet (Carl) Retteger; and brother Duane (Sherry); sisters-in-law Dorothy May, Edith (Doug) Crosby, Isabel Wenarchuk, Muriel (Lawrence) Drysdale and Norma (Ernie) Folk; along with many nieces, nephews and special friends. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at the Alliance Church on the corner of Thatcher Dr. & 9th Avenue N.W. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate. Internment will be at Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children’s Health and Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan, #1 – 345 3rd Ave. S., Saskatoon, SK., S7K 1M6 or Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St. East, Moose Jaw, Sask. S6H 1H3.
