Grace Cozac
It is with mixed emotions the Cozac Family is saying goodbye to their beloved Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma and Great-Great-Grandma. Grace passed away on Saturday, December 11th, 2010 at the age of 99 years. Mom was born in Romania and when she was 3 years old she came to Canada with her mother to join her father. They homesteaded on a farm near Wheatstone, SK. In 1931 she married Arthur Cozac. They raised their family of 9 on the farm located near Kayville, SK. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur in 1986; parents, Anika and Eli Neamtu; sister, Lena Fluter; and brothers, Chris, Nick, John, Gabe, Bill, George, Rudy and Con Neamtu. She was also predeceased by her son, George and great-grandson, David Scott Walker. Grace leaves to cherish her memory, her children Anne (Wallace) Walker, Catherine(Jim) Gardner, Pete Cozac, Con (Elaine) Cozac, Mary (Harvey) Hovanes, Sam (Caroll) Cozac, Lillian Fender and Joanne Cozac; 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Grace is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Helen Namtu of Regina, SK. and Virginia Neamtu of Waterford, ON.; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 18th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home (4th Avenue and Thatcher Drive). Pastor Barry Gammie will officiate and interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
