Walter Beadham Cox

The family of Walter Beadham Cox is very sad to announce the passing of their beloved husband, dad, grampa, great-grampa and uncle on June 7th, 2011 at the age of 84 years.  He was born in Moose Jaw on January 4th, 1927 and then raised in Ernfold.  After marrying Lorraine Schafer, they moved to Moose Jaw which became home to raise their family of 6 children.  Left to mourn his loss are his loving family including his wife, Lorraine; son, Jerry(Marilyn); son, Ken (Jean); son, Greg (Sheila); daughter, Jan (Larry) Graham; daughter, Laura(Roly) Thibault and daughter, Lana (Darin) Wald.  Also included are his grandchildren: Nicole (Nate), James, Jeannette (Jaymie), Ryan, Steven, Molly, Eric, Tyler (Tara), Kelsie, Joey and Cameron; and great-grandchildren Sydney, Samantha, Emily, Taylor and Odin.  Wally was predeceased by his parents, Walter and May; in-laws, Con and Wilma Schafer; brother, Horace and sister-in-law, Evelyn.  A Celebration of Walter’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 11th, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Pastor Bill Thomson will officiate and burial of cremains will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.  Legion Rites will be conducted by Bert Longhurst of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #59.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  Donations in Wally’s memory may be made to the Regina Cancer Patient Lodge, 4104 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK S4T 1A3.
