Madge Louise Constable
Madge Louise Constable, aged 98 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 30th, 2016, surrounded by her family at Providence Place, which was her home for the last two years. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank, who passed away in 1995; and siblings: Omar, Mame, Jack, Edna, Bunny and Jean. Madge will be lovingly remembered by her sons: Wayne (Bev) and their children David (Leah), Curtis (Lorna) and Donna (Ryan); Bob (Sue) and their children Cheryl (Trevor), Rick (Robin) and Janice (Clint); Dale (Lynn) and their children Rhonda (John) and Scott (Kayla); 14 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Phyllis Bray of Winnipeg, MB; and niece, Eleanor (Tom) Carnegie of Brandon, MB. Madge was born in the Brandon area. Frank and Madge started Constable Service and ran the business for 30 years, and sold the garage to their three boys who operated it for 40 years. They just recently sold it to Madge’s grandson Scott. This makes Constable Service a three generation operation. Madge loved her garden, doing lots of canning, baking and enjoyed family time. She loved to dance and have a good time. Madge lived in the family home until the age of 89. She then lived in High Park Tower on her own until the age of 95 before moving to Providence Place. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff on St. Vincent Wing for the wonderful care and compassion that was provided for their mom. Also to Cheryl Thul for all her kind words and time spent. This will always remain with us. In keeping with Madge’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Madge’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, Unit 26 – 1738 Quebec Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7K 1V9. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
