Mary Gladys Connolly
Mary Gladys Connolly, aged 94 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Saturday, January 14th, 2017. Mary was born in London, England. She met Jack Connolly during WWII and they were married on January 26th, 1946. Jack returned to Canada and Mary later joined him, with her passage being on the Queen Mary. She liked to bowl, play cards and golf, and was a member of the Trinity United Church Choir and Golden Voices, and also performed with Katz. Mary was a member of the War Brides Association. She was predeceased by her husband, John (Jack); daughter, Elaine; son, Lloyd; granddaughter, Trish; brother, Edward (Ted) Lloyd; and son-in-law, John Tunnah. Mary will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lynne (Carl) Graham; son, Mark (Rachel); daughter, Carol Tunnah; son, Jeffrey (Shirley); 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 20th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Reverend Tim Ellis will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Mary’s name may be made to Timothy Eaton Garden, 510 Main St N, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 3K3 or to a charity of one’s choice.
