Robert Conley
Conley, Robert – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dad on Monday, February 4th, 2008 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Georgia Conley; sisters Lucile Hegre and Jean Bolline; and finally his loving wife of 56 years, Evelyn. Bob leaves to mourn his two daughters Gloria Clements and Lorna (John) Gomersall; his grandchildren and joys of his life David (Candice), Pamela (Nolan), Stephen (Crystal), Stephanie (Corey), Danielle and Kristin; as well as his precious great-grandson Carson. Dad and Mom spent most of their life together working on the family farm at Lawson. Dad loved his cattle and horses and was blessed to have wonderful friends and neighbours. He was active in the community on the local United Church board, a counselor for the Rural Municipality of Maplebush and a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. Dad was also a rural bus driver for 13 years. Mom and Dad retired to Central Butte in 1976 but Dad couldn’t remain idle. He took an EMT course and spent several years working for his dear friend Jim Murdock on the Central Butte Ambulance Service. After Mom’s passing, Dad moved to Moose Jaw to be closer to his family, but never quite recovered from her loss. We would like to express our thanks to the staff at Extendicare for their kindness and compassionate care – all your faces Dad grew to love and friendships he was blessed to have. A Celebration of both Dad and Mom’s lives will be held on Saturday, February 9th, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Thomson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Bob’s name to the Extendicare Family Support Group, 1151 Coteau St. W., Moose Jaw, Sk, S6H 5G5.
