Herbert Austin Collicott
April 14th, 1938 – April 1st, 2015
On April 1st, 2015, in his 77th year, Herbert Austin Collicott of Moose Jaw, SK., transitioned to his new home in the Great Beyond. Herb is a Suncor OSG retiree – following his retirement, he founded his own successful company, Collicott Construction, Inc. He was predeceased by his parents, Manus G. & Edna E. Collicott, sisters Alta Rogerson, Elda Johnson, and brothers Gilbert, Manus and Winston Collicott. Herb will be sorely missed by his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Collicott; daughter and son-in-law, Shawna and Howard Plante, Ft. McMurray, AB; grandchildren Ryan (Tanya), Brett, and Raechel Plante, and great granddaughter Bailey Jane Plante; his son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Laurie Collicott, Moose Jaw, SK; grandsons Austin Collicott, Jordan Collicott, Travis Bittner, and Tailor Collicott; his brother, Leslie Collicott, Deep River, ON; his sisters-in-law: Marian Stewart, Betty Collicott, Deborah Collicott, Shirley Kanne and Rita Jacobs; his brothers-in-law, John Kanne and Joe Jacobs; 11 nephews; 6 nieces; as well as many first and second cousins and grand nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service, with Legion Rites, for Herb will be held on Friday, April 17th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Andrew’s United Church, 60 Athabasca Street East, Moose Jaw, SK with Reverend Jim Tenford officiating. A reception will follow. Interment at a later date will be in the Canterbury Cemetery, Canterbury, New Brunswick, beside his parents.
