CLARK, Sheila Mary (nee Smith)
May 17th, 1923 – October 15th, 2013
It is with deep sadness but profound gratefulness for a long-lived and fulfilling life that our family announces the passing of Sheila Clark. Born in Grayson, SK but growing up in Vancouver, BC from the age of 5, Sheila was the daughter of Alec and Nellie Smith and sister to brothers Gordon, Hugh and Wesley, all who predeceased her. In 1945 she married Norman Clark and together they made their home in Regina, SK until 1953 when they moved to Moose Jaw, where she has resided ever since. Predeceased by Norm in 1980 and daughter-in-law Debbie in 2010, Sheila is survived by her children: Linda (Jim), David (Marilyn) and Jim; Grandma to Scott, Tara, Tammy, Rob, Karen and Sara and ‘Little Grammy’ to Taylor, Matthew, Hannah, Adam, Lucas, Tyson, Griffen, Hayley, Blake, Alex, Sebastian and Jase, all of whom are going to miss her greatly. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Edna Smith (Gordon); dad’s sisters: Peggy (Alex) Matheson, Jean Thomson and Ina Morson; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters-in-law, Bunnie (Hugh) and Lorraine (Wesley); and brothers-in-law: Robert Clark, Lloyd Thomson and Mike Morson. We would like to thank Home Care for the exemplary care and attention you provided for Mom over the last couple of years. She was always very appreciative for your help. Thank you too to the nursing staff at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital for your care and attention to Mom and ourselves during this time. A Graveside Service for family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 20th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Sunset Cemetery, 9th Avenue South, Moose Jaw with Pastor Bill Thomson officiating. A Time of Fellowship will follow from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sheila’s name may be made to Moose Jaw’s New Regional Hospital c/o Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St. E., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1H3.
