SALLY CHOW (nee Kwan)
April 11th, 1958 – January 15th, 2014
Sally Chow passed away in the early morning of Wednesday, January 15th, 2014 surrounded by her husband Grant and her children Kevin, Micheal and Jacinda. Sally led a full, successful and happy life. The youngest of seven children, she was born in China and immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong in 1973. She met Grant in high school and they married seven years later. Their marriage spanned 33 happy years. Sally was a devoted wife and mother and she stayed at home to care for and raise their young family. Grant and Sally lived in Moose Jaw, Regina and Victoria. Shortly after they returned to Moose Jaw, they opened and operated an ice cream store called Treats R Us, a local favorite stop for everyone. In 2005 they started Sally’s Kitchen, a very popular restaurant where Sally became friends with many of the customers. Eventually, they sold Sally’s Kitchen and purchased a retirement home in Victoria, B.C. where Sally spent many of her days walking by the ocean with her dog, Cutie. Loved wherever she went, she enjoyed cooking and baking for her friends and acquaintances. Her generous and kind nature drew people to her. A Private Celebration of Life will be held for Sally’s family and close friends. The family would like to thank the staff at the Allan Blair Cancer Center, Pasqua Hospital, Union Hospital, Palliative Home Care Nurses and Dr. A.J. Van Heerden. Sally was a big supporter of sponsoring children of World Vision.
