Charles Patrick “Chuck” Cannon
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Patrick “Chuck” Cannon on Tuesday, March 16th, 2010, after a courageous four year battle with cancer. Chuck was born on October 21st, 1958 to Rita and George Cannon. He grew up on the farm at Marquis and attended St. Marks’ School. Chuck graduated from Vanier Collegiate and from SIAST with his Journeyman Certificate in Carpentry. He worked in construction and was well known for his exceptional craftsmanship in tile work. Chuck married Marlene Chartier in 1981 and they lived and raised their family in Moose Jaw. He loved sports, especially skiing with family and friends, hockey, baseball and cheering on his beloved Yankees. Chuck was predeceased by his father George and infant son Patrick. He will be missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years Marlene; his loving mother Rita; children Christopher (Deanne)and Kevin (Janelle), Jennaand Eric; his brothers Mike (Betty), Joe and Tom (Tracey); sisters Mary Ann (Murray) and Betty Lou and their families. He will also be missed by his mother-in-law Gloria Chartier; his brothers-in-law Rob (Cheryl) Chartier and John (Susan) Chartier; his sisters-in-law Denise (Robert) Sagal and Monique (Brad) Guillaume and their families. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 19th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. Father Neil Osiowy will be presiding celebrant and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery at a later date. The Vigil Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, March 18th, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church.
