ROGER BUTTERFIELD
In the early morning of Sunday, February 28th, 2021, Roger George Butterfield passed away peacefully in Pioneer Lodge Palliative Care, at the age of 85 years young.
Roger is lovingly remembered and survived by his wife of 36 years, Marian Tarnes; brothers, Don (Marylin) and Wally (Cindee); sister, Ruth; daughter, Sharon (Dave); grandson, Lane (Deseray); great-grandchildren: Ava, Eden and Mya; granddaughter, Michelle (Brett); great-grandchildren: Madelyn and Jack; son, Randy (Sandra); granddaughters, Bronwyn and Frances; son, Blair (Jodi); grandsons, Ryan and Joshua; son Glen; grandsons, Nolan and Nicholas; and son, Brian.
Also loved and survived by his extended family: stepdaughter, Lynn (Darrell); grandchildren, Matt (Mercedes) and Michelle (Brandon); great-grandchildren: Ava, Rylan, and Brayson; stepson, Bill (Laura); granddaughter, Sophie; stepson, Dan; granddaughters, Taylor and Halle; stepson-in-law, Roy (Sue); step-grandchildren: Lee, Orr, and Kale (Dori); great-grandson, Henri. Roger will also be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews and countless dear friends.
Roger was known for his wonderful laugh and sense of humor. He was a storyteller, genealogist, electronic geek, zoom host, aviation enthusiast, gardener, photographer and a Rider Fan. He was always willing to help others and demonstrated the life lesson on how to live “One Day at a Time”.

You are welcome to view the Service virtually on Sunday, March 7th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. by going to www.moosejawfuneralhome.com/webcast/. Roger was a great person.
I remember on several occasions dropping by the Shell in Chamberlain to have a chat and cinnamon bun at Rogers . He became a big part of my life and many others lives. He served as mentor to many . Thank you for all of your words of wisdom.
