Lorna Evelyn Butlin
Lorna Evelyn Butlin passed away on July 2, 2010 at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital at the age of 82. Lorna was predeceased by her husband Bruce (2002), parents Lillian and Thomas Bristow and brother Les. Left to cherish wonderful memories are her son Donald (Barb), granddaughter Jennifer (Steven) Wyatt and great granddaughter Jalen, granddaughter Nicole (Devon) Geiger, brothers Earl Bristow, Doug (Joyce) Bristow, nephew Murray (Robin) Bristow, niece Carolyn (Jeff) Talley, and Bruce’s nieces Debbie and Karen. Lorna was born in Hazenmore SK. She received her education at the Qu’Appelle Diocesan School for Girls in Regina. In 1953 she married her loving husband Bruce. Over the years they resided in Indian Head, Saskatoon, Chaplin and Moose Jaw. Lorna will be deeply missed by her family and friends who will remember her kindness, generosity, sense of humor and cheerful smile. Lorna was an encourager to all and she shared this through her skill and dedication for letter writing. She loved music, reading, and writing poetry. She treasured her precious granddaughters Jennifer and Nicole and new great grandchild Jalen. In recognition for Lorna’s passion and love of animals memorial donations may be made to the Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7 or a charity of one’s choice. The family would like to thank the dedicated and caring staff at the MJUH Medical floor, Emergency, and Home Care. We extend our gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Geyer and Dr. Majid for their care and compassion. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
