ALLAN RAYMOND BUMPHREY

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.  Allan passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, after a hard and courageous battle with cancer at Grace Hospice in Regina, SK on Wednesday, June 28th, 2017 at the age of 89 years.  He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Emily; 2 brothers and 3 sisters; father and mother-in-law; as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.  Allan leaves to cherish his everlasting legacy, his wife of 65 years, Lorraine (née Drake); his forever loving sons: Leslie (Ellen), Leo (Joanne), Lloyd (Carol) and Lorne (Jacquie); 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Bob) Winn; sisters-in-law: Jeannette, Helen, Leta and Marg; brothers-in-law, Larry and Rodney, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and all those that shared in his life.  The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Allan Blair Cancer Center, the staff on the Palliative Care Unit at the Pasqua Hospital and to Dr. Kilmury and the staff at Grace Hospice, whom Dad referred to as his angels without wings.  The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 5th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave, Regina, SK.  Garry Giofu will officiate and interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery.  A Time of Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 4th, 2017 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel.  Flowers are gratefully declined.  As an expression of sympathy, donations in Allan’s name may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Center c/o Pasqua Hospital, 4101 Dewdney Ave, Regina, SK S4T 7T1.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Todd Sjoberg, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
