Peter Buettner

Peter Buettner, aged 67 years of Moose Jaw and formerly of Leader, SK, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, August 1st, 2017.  Peter lived in Valley View from 1962-2016, with some time spent living in Waldheim and Maple Creek, SK.  Peter moved to his home on March 10th, 2016.  He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Margret Buettner; and sister, Theresa (Rick) Drudy.  Peter is survived by his sisters: Anna (Jacob) Wist, Pauline (Harley) Berg, and Catherine DeJarlais; brothers: Lewis (Susan) Buettner, Gary (Alberta) Buettner, and Balzer (Elsie) Buettner; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.  Peter lived his life the way he wanted.  He was an entrepreneur, locksmith, power lifter, repairman, and very tech savvy.  Peter loved sports jerseys, clocks, RC cars, yearbooks, parades, and music.  His enthusiasm for Christmas, Halloween, and thrashing bees was evident.  Peter spent his last year taking the bus, garage saling, enjoying his sweet treats, and spent some of his last nights sleeping under the stars, a wish of his come true!  A Celebration of Peter’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 8th, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  As an expression of sympathy donations can be made in Peter’s name to Camp Easter Seals, 1410 Kilburn Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7M 0J8.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
