Born to Otto and Anna Buck in July of 1936, Frederick Buck grew up in Mazenod, SK before the family moved to their current farm near Mortlach, SK. Fred was baptized into the Christian faith in August of 1936. Fred met and married Doreen Buck (nee Basler) in 1959 and together they farmed in the Mortlach/Lake Valley community for the next 40 years. This sure and certain hope was lived out by Fred and passed to his three sons, his grandchildren and great grandchild who look forward to the day that they will see him again in the day of the resurrection. A Funeral Service for Fred will be held on Saturday, October 12th, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 15 Paul Drive, Moose Jaw, SK. Reverend Pastor John Kreutzwieser will officiate. Dave, Doug and Rod, it was so sad to hear about your Dad. Fred was always such a good friend. I can’t count how many good memories I have of him. Traveling Saskatchewan with Dad, Charl and Fred, looking at the newest balers and other machinery, stopping in at a small town Chinese food restaurant and seeing your dad turning white after my Dad tells him the shrimp looked like cooked baby mice (after he’d eaten most of them). I could go on and on. He was such a great guy! I’ve missed seeing him since we moved from the farm. We know how happy he is now, as he is with your Mom and all his old friends. What a reunion!
Thinking of you David, Doug, Rod and families. Your dad was a gentleman and such a good friend and co-pilot traveler with my dad. Many trips to look at cattle and machinery, always up for a road tour of Saskatchewan. Condolences to all, a life well lived.
