KIM ELAINE BUCHHOLZ (née: Carpentier)
March 10th, 1959- December 2nd, 2023
With tremendous sadness, we announce the passing of our mother, Kim Elaine Buchholz aged 64 years of Moose Jaw, SK, on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, with her children and granddaughter by her side. Departed before her were her parents, Louis (1977) and Mable Carpentier (1983); siblings: Dalhas (2023), Lori (2019), and Randy (2015); and longtime partners, Ted (2009) and Tim (2022). Kim leaves behind her daughters, Christina (Chris) and Tasha (Paul); granddaughter, Rhydell; siblings: Lynn (Pat), Dwight (Heather), and Ron (Val); nieces and nephews: Corby, Tyler, Nicole, Michelle, Kristen, Crystal, Danny, Amber, Jason, Julie, Angela, and Justin; great-nieces, Ashley and Jessie; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Kim was born in Moose Jaw, SK, the second youngest of seven children. At an early age, she enjoyed caring for children. Kim was a natural caregiver, opening her home to provide childcare for many children over the years. Each child always had a special place in her heart.
Our mom was the most loyal, forgiving, kind, and generous friend you would ever meet. In 2004, she became a grandma to Rhydell and cherished the time she spent with her. In recent years, she enjoyed becoming a local pet sitter for family members.
The family would like to express our gratitude to the staff at Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital for their kindness and compassion, and to our extended family.
A Private Celebration of Kim’s Life will be held in summer 2024. As an animal lover, donations in Kim’s name may be made to SCRAPS (Stray Cat Rescue and Protection Society), PO Box 1653, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 7K7.
But we remember
now in love,
Your life from start to end,
And we’re just glad
we knew you,
As a Mother and as a Friend
