Doris Evelyn Buch
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Doris Evelyn Buch (Houseman) on Thursday, September 19th, 2013, 10 days short of her 90th birthday. Doris and Frederick farmed in the Mazenod area until they moved to Moose Jaw. Mom moved into High Park Towers, Moose Jaw in February 1997 where she enjoyed many friendships and hours of entertainment. Doris was baptized and confirmed in St. John’s Church in the Mazenod District and has attended Lutheran Church during her lifetime. She was predeceased by her parents; infant son, Alfred; husband, Frederick; grandsons: Kenneth Cropp, Kevin Cropp and Travis Fortman; sons-in-law: Rodger Cropp, Mark Kiel and Norman Graham; sister, Barbara; and brothers: Reg, Henry and George. Doris is survived by her daughters: Helen Cropp (Harvey Schick), Christina Kiel, Linda (Brian) Fortman and Bertha Graham; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Bell and Vera Dolan; brother, Bernard Houseman; sister-in-law, Marguerite Houseman and brother-in-law, Grant Whitfield. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 24th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Central Lutheran Church, 27 Hochelaga St. W., Moose Jaw, SK. Reverend Bill Cantelon will officiate and interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Mazenod, SK. Memorial donations in Doris’ name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Sask., 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8 or Moose Jaw’s New Regional Hospital c/o Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St. E., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1H3.
