Annie May Brumwell (Keay)
Annie May Brumwell (Keay) of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away on Saturday, June 17th, 2017 at the age of 97 years. Annie was born on July 24th, 1919 to James and Rachel Keay. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry; her parents; and six siblings: Bill, John, Malcolm, Agnes, Donald, and Helen. Annie leaves to mourn her passing: sons, Chuck (Linda) of Emerald Park and their children Lindsay and Adam (Larissa), and Ron (Mary) and their children Trevor (Ashley) and Aubrey; great-grandchildren: Kapri, Harrison, Zander, and Lawson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Annie grew up and completed her schooling in Moose Jaw. In her early years she worked at Moose Jaw City Hall, until her sons were born. Annie married Henry (Harry) Charles Brumwell on June 18th, 1949. She was an active member of St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir, and received a Lifetime Membership in the Women’s Missionary Society. Annie was a loving mother, and enjoyed visits and spending time with her grandchildren, completing the daily crossword puzzle, and playing Scrabble with a friend. Annie will be missed by all who knew her, for the twinkle in her eye and sharp wit. A Private Graveside Service will be held at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. As expression of sympathy, donations in Annie’s name may be made to St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church, 80 High St E, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1S3 or a charity of one’s choice.
