Alvin Edward Bruce

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Alvin Edward Bruce on Saturday, December 27th, 2008 at the age of 64 years. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 3rd, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Cheryl Thul will officiate with interment at St. Columba Anglican Church. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 2nd from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Alvin was born in Moose Jaw on July 18th, 1944. Alvin was predeceased by his father-in-law Walter Duzan. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife June Bruce (Duzan); two sons Robert(Rhonda Penner), Harmony, Jerri of Tuxford, Jeffrey (Melissa) Samantha, Travis of Pilot Butte and daughter Lisa (Maurice) Matthew, Samuel, Andrew Halipchak of Pilot Butte. He is also survived by his parents Robert and Joyce Bruce of Moose Jaw; brothers Russ (Terri) Bruce and David (Donna) Bruce; sisters Lorraine (John) Riley, Heather (Barry) Johnson and Holly (Allan) Johnson; brothers-in-law Les (Gail) Duzan, Brad (Nancy) Duzan; sister-in-law Joanne (Mike) Gilchuk; mother-in-law Irene Duzan and step-mother-in-law Marge Duzan; many nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Providence Place for their care for the past 8 years. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Alvin’s name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 150 Albert St., Regina, Sask., S5R 2N2.
