JACK EVERETT BRETON
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Everett Breton aged 77 years of Moose Jaw, SK, on Saturday, December 9th, 2023.
Jack was born in 1946 to Jimmie (Emile) and Esther Breton, the 5th of 11 children. They moved to Moose Jaw where Jack attended William Grayson and Peacock Tech. He later attended STI to complete his Journeyman Bricklayer certificate and his 40 years of work as a bricklayer can be seen all over Moose Jaw and Southern Saskatchewan.
Jack married Elaine Hammer in 1972 and they raised three children. He was the best father, doting on his kids, grandkids and great-granddaughter. Jack enjoyed many pastimes over the years, including broomball, slow pitch, hunting, fishing, coaching the kids in all their sports, and when he slowed down, coffee row with the guys.
He was predeceased by his parents, in-laws and six siblings. Jack leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Elaine; children: Angela, Derek, and Heath; grandchildren: Vannessa (Rory), Alyssa (Sean), Hailey, and Vaughan; great-granddaughter, Madelynn; sisters, Mavis and Shirley; and brothers, Floyd and Dave (Donna).
A Memorial Tea will be held on Saturday, December 16th, 2023 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. in the lower hall of Minto United Church, 1036 Seventh Ave NW, Moose Jaw, SK. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Cara Ashworth Funeral Director 306-693-4550
Ooh Elaine my heart is broken. So sorry to hear of Jack’s passing. Gruff on the outside but a big softee on the inside. We had so many good years playing slow pitch and then just years of friendship, He loved you so much and placed his family high on the pedestal.

So sad to hear of uncle Jack’s passing, he was a lively spirited, fun loving and genuine person, he will be missed, condolences to Elaine and all the family.
Our most sincere condolences Elaine and family. Jack’s work can be found in our yard and we are proud of it. He was such a wonderful guy to be around, always enjoying himself and adding joy, or a good discussion, to the situation. So sorry for your loss. Jack will be missed by all that knew him.
