NETA GLADYS BRENTNELL
Neta Brentnell, our cherished and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away in her 98th year on Friday, October 18th, 2019. She was predeceased by her parents, Reginald Sr. and Ina Palmer; husband, Roy; and her brothers and sister. Neta will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Judy (David) Webb; son, Doug (Wanda) Brentnell; grandchildren: Debbie (Larry) Davis, Lee (Leena) Brentnell, Carlie Brentnell (Chris Stoppler), Jared (Candice) Brentnell, and Sarah (Kevin) Poole; and great-grandchildren: Stephanie (Lucas) Wilde, Jessica Davis, Olivia and Nicholas Burlotti, Pierce and Madeline Brentnell, Molly and Scarlett Poole, and Hazel and Lincoln Brentnell. Neta will also be remembered by sisters-in-law: Ora Palmer, Brenda Palmer, Edith Benson and Erima Brentnell; as well as many nieces and nephews. Neta was born in 1922 in Bethany, Ontario and married Roy Brentnell on February 27th, 1943, after which they moved to Belle Plaine, SK where they resided and raised their family. They farmed in the Belle Plaine area until 1986 and then they moved to Moose Jaw, SK in 1996. In later years, Neta resided at the Bentley and Chez Nous before moving to the Lutheran Care Home and Extendicare Parkside in Regina, SK. She loved to bake and was well known for her cinnamon buns and flapper pies. She also enjoyed playing cards, bingo, watching curling and football, and sharing her recipes. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 24th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Celebrant Dave Foley will officiate and interment will take place in Rosedale Cemetery. The family would also like to thank the staff at the Extendicare Parkside in Regina for the excellent care they provided. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army National Processing Centre, PO Box 8200, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4W5. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. Judy, Doug and families, may my condolences bring you comfort and may my prayers ease the pain of the loss of your mom. She will be missed. Sadly, I will miss the ceremony as I am away at this time but my heart and mind will be there. Hugs, Carl
