Lorna Bratvold
Lorna Bratvold, aged 63 years of Moose Jaw, SK, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday June 17th, 2015. She was born in Swift Current, SK to parents Kathleen (1908-2000) and Erling (1900-1983) and died in Moose Jaw, SK from complications related to rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. Lorna will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Frank Coxford; children: Jordan (Christian), Jamie and Ashley (Mark); granddaughters, Katana and Clara; siblings: Glenn (Georgia), Yvonne (Dean), Louise (Jim) and Keith (Edna); and Frank’s children, Jeff (Nicole) and Rob. Lorna grew up in Simmie, SK and moved to Duncan, BC at the age of 12. She received her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in English from the University of British Columbia and post-graduate degree in Journalism (Honours) from Carleton University in Ottawa. Lorna was passionate about English literature, especially British and Canadian fiction, ballroom dancing, yoga, family and her close friendships. A Service to Celebrate Lorna’s Life will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Reverend Sherry Beckton officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined.
