James “Bruce” Brander
With sadness we announce the passing of a kind and gentle soul, James “Bruce” Brander on Saturday March 19th, 2016. Bruce was born March 3rd, 1926. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Alice; daughters: Arlene (Les) Parsons and their children: Christopher (Anne) Parsons and Wendy (Mark) Miller; Beverley (Randy) Barber and their children: Neil (Aimee) Barber and Kent (Andrea) Barber; Judy Brander; son Jim (Lenore) Brander and their children: Mandi-Lynn (Justin), Krystal and Katie; great-grandchildren: Bryce, Kelci, Halle, Marlee, Quinn, Owen, Lukas, Kael, Blake and Octavia; sister Jean and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Phyllis and brother Archibald. Bruce was always a farmer at heart and loved to fix things… a lawn mower, a chair, his garage was called the “fix–it” shop. Bruce was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved nothing more than hearing what his family was up to. Bruce enjoyed being a member of St. Aidan Church, playing cards at the Eaton Centre and working in the garden with Alice. Bruce loved a good joke and was noted for his lively stories. His wonderful laugh and presence will be missed by all. The Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Aidan Anglican Church, 124-1st Ave N.E. with the Rev. Dr. Dean Pinter officiating. Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane. James Murdock, Funeral Director 306-693-4550
