Charlie Box
March 26th, 1932 – December 31st, 2010
It is with heavy hearts the family of Charlie announces his passing. Dad loved life and people, many he called friends. There wasn’t anyone he wouldn’t talk to. He loved flowers and gardening and he could be found in his yard meticulously attending to them. He loved a bargain and would find many treasures while garage saling. Christmas was especially exciting for him as he always challenged himself to make his display even more spectacular than previous years. Dad loved when people would stop and admire his displays or it would make the paper. He was a proud tradesman for over 45 years. Charlie was a man of many talents and could fix or build anything. We will cherish those treasures always. Charlie was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Gladys; brother, Harold and baby daughter, Barbara. He leaves to treasure his memory, wife of 58 years Shirley; daughters, Charlotte (Dave) Field, Cathy (Brian) Herring and their children Allison (who shared his birthday) and Amanda; son, Bruce (Shari)and their children Evan and Amy (Chris) Legare and great-grandson Brady; daughter, Kim; brothers, Richard (Debbie) and Jim; and family friend, Joy McLaughlin. Special treat time for family pets Talia, Zues and Jasmine won’t be the same. We miss you. The family would like to thank Dr. Majid, Dr. Luhning and the Medical Floor at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital. At Dad’s request there will be no Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlie’s name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 – 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, SK.
