Edith Bourget

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Edith, which occurred, Monday, October 5th, at Porteous Lodge Villa with family at her side.  Edith was born and raised in the Drinkwater area.  Working in Moose Jaw till 1950 she moved to Love, SK and married Murrell Fearn, and her only child was born in 1953.  Murrell and Edith moved back to Moose Jaw in 1959.  Murrell passed away 1965 and Edith remarried Wilfred Bourget in 1970, with his passing in 1982.  Edith kept busy looking after her grandchildren and being a member of Trinity United Church as well as singing in the choir.  Edith moved to Saskatoon in July 2004, against her wishes as she became a dialysis patient and living with her daughter.  After her failing health in 2006 she moved to Porteous Lodge Villa until her passing.  Edith is survived by her daughter,Cathie Fearn of Saskatoon; two grandchildren, Curtis (Jennifer) Heron of Saskatoon, Jaime (Rod) Ansell of Moose Jaw; two great grandchildren, Brodie Ethan Ansell and Beau Ellie Ansell of Moose Jaw; Curtis and Jaime’s father, Bill Heron of Moose Jaw; three sisters, Margaret Fischer, Jean Barber both of Moose Jaw and Pat (Jim) Kaip of Grande Prairie, AB; brother, Jim (Deanna) Miller of Medicine Hat, AB; several nieces and nephews and Edith’s special grand pets, Rexy, Trouble and Sanders; along with a special caring friend, Gerry Martin of Saskatoon.  Edith was predeceased by both husbands, Murrell Fearn and Wilfred Bourget; parents, George and Bessie Miller; two brothers, William and Ken and brothers-in-law Ken Barber and August Fischer.  A Private Interment will take place in Moose Jaw at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Bill Thomson presiding and a Tea in Edith’s memory will be held on Friday, October 16that 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. with a program starting at 2:30 from the Moose Jaw Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Porteous Lodge Villa c/o Linda Hutchinson, 833 Avenue P North, Saskatoon, SK S7M 0Z9.  Cremation arrangements in care of – MOURNING GLORY FUNERAL SERVICES, Saskatoon, SK (978-5200) and MOOSE JAW FUNERAL HOME (693-4550).
