Isabella Cochrane (nee Wilson) Bollinger
Isabella Cochrane (nee Wilson) Bollinger passed away peacefully on March 17th, 2008 at Providence Place in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Born on November 5th, 1910 in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Bella until her marriage lived on her family’s Bigstick District Sheep Ranch north of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. After marrying Irven Bollinger in 1946 she and Irven moved to Regina where she resided until the Fall of 2000. Bella was predeceased by her husband of 48 years Irven; father Ivie and mother Isabella Wilson of Maple Creek, as well as her siblings; brother Robert, sisters Jean, Ivy, Bessie and half-sister Mary and their spouses. Bella is survived by her devoted and loving son Gary (Pauline) Bollinger; grandchildren Daniel (Jana) Bollinger, Leigh Bollinger, Kellyn (Melissa Tighe) Bollinger and great grandchildren Brayden and Alaina Bollinger; several nieces and nephews and 2 sisters-in-law. Bella was a kind and caring homemaker who enjoyed bowling, needlework, trailering and actively supporting the family’s sport of Go Kart Racing with son Gary driving, husband Irven as the Pit crew and Bella as the nervous cheering section. We cherish these memories. In later life Bella fought through several health problems always maintaining a cheery outlook on life. She will be remembered for her wonderful smile, welcoming disposition and incredible baking talents. Many thanks to Dr. Mark Brown and the caring, compassionate staff of St. Vincent’s Wing who made her 7 years at Providence Place comfortable and meaningful. S4R 2P6. A family Memorial is planned to take place in May of 2008.
