Evelyn Bokinac
Evelyn Bokinac of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan passed away on Saturday, December 27th, 2008 at the age of 79 years. The Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 30th, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Alliance Church, Thatcher Drive and 9th N.W. Rev. Keith Gonyou will officiate. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents James and Mary Broome; her brother James, sister Violet; brother-in-law John; brother Francis; and sister-in-law Vi. She is survived by her loving husband Wesley; their children, son Thomas (Glenda) and their children Myles (Rhea), Lisa (Jason) Vavra, and Bradley; daughter Cory (Malcolm) Bains and their children Stacey (John) LeKivetz and Alicia; son Leslie, Stephanie Bourne and Michael Bourne; son Roy (Denise), Jade and Tyson; three great-grandchildren Calista Bokinac, Montana and Jessie LeKivetz. She is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Evelyn was born on June 12th, 1929 on the family farm in the Bethune District. She was raised on the farm and at the age of 20 married her life long partner Wesley Bokinac. Together they raised four children at their home in Bethune. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Evelyn’s name may be made to the Saskatchewan Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 108B – 3502 Taylor St. East, Saskatoon, Sask. S7H 5H9.
