Jean Mae Best

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mom, grandma and great-grandma on November 17th, 2011.  Jean was born on June 24th, 1936 in the Lake Valley area.  She moved to Moose Jaw as a young woman where she married Keith and together they raised their two sons.  She worked at Sears Catalogue for many years where she enjoyed meeting people.  After retirement, she and Keith helped raise their four grandchildren, as well as enjoyed traveling with their friends and family.  Jean was predeceased by her loving husband and constant companion, Keith in 2003; parents, Otto and Edna Koehler; four brothers: Bob, Walt, Raymond and Wendell; and three sisters: Helen, Margaret and Irene.  Jean is survived by her two sons: Rance (Cathy) and their children David (Amy), Riley (Jennifer) and daughter Georgia; Tim(Brinda) and their children Brad and Haley; twin sister, Joan Lawson; and numerous extended family.  The family would like to express great thanks to Oxford Place and Extendicare for their exceptional care and thoughtfulness shown to our mother and family.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and a private family interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean’s name may be made to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St. E., Moose Jaw, SK S6H 1H3.
