Kristin Bergen

It is with heartfelt sorrow, sadness and emptiness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Kristin Bergen (Florent) on March 5th, 2012.  Born August 29th, 1981 in Moose Jaw, God delivered this child to us to have and to hold for this short time, on loan to us, to brighten our lives, keeping our lives exciting.  Life was never dull around her.  She had a special gift for the love of animals, and for caring for the elderly.  She loved her work and the special people she cared for, as well as the ones she worked with.  Kristin was an amazing bright and shining STAR, we were proud and so impressed with her capacity for giving, for her unflinching enthusiasm and optimism for life.  She always made the room brighter.  One of the Lords Angels has returned home.  Kristin married the love of her life, Lyle Bergen on September 12th, 2008.  Together in their married life they bought an acreage to make their home.  Kristin loved animals, a gift she got from her paternal grandmother.  Kristin was a nurturer, loving every home she lived in, for the gift the ground gave, and the many, many special animal friends she loved so dearly.  It was only fitting that she chose to be a special care aid, and to care for the elderly. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Lyle; parents, Bruno and Dianne Florent; siblings: Curtis, Ashley and Reid, Kyla and Richard; mother-in-law, Luise Bergen and Ed Livingston, Joline (Dave) and family, Will, Jenna (Kirt) and family, Jessica (Tyler) and family, Travis (Melissa) and family; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  A Celebration of Kristin’s Life will be held on Saturday, March 10th, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kristin’s name to The Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658 Station Main, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 9Z9 – a cause Kristin supported.  Arrangements are entrusted to Moose Jaw Funeral Home, 268 Mulberry Lane.  Gary McDowell, Funeral Director. 693-4550
