I remember great times with Jean and her brothers and sister at the family farm in Drumbo, Ontario. For a girl who grew up in town, collecting eggs and jumping in the hay loft are high on the list of favorites!!
My parents (Uncle Dick and Aunt Ivy) loved visiting with Jean & Art over the years.

Barb and I are sharing your sadness with the passing of Jean.
She truly was a hard worker, a devoted partner for Art and a strong and loving supporter of her family. A very good example of her strength and commitment happened when her mother passed away many years ago. Jean and my father Roy assumed guardianship of four of their underage siblings in the early 60’s. That was a lot of extra responsibility early in Jean’s early married life.
She will be missed as the matriarch of the Roe family.
The Roughriders have lost a loyal fan!!
Barb and I regret that we cannot attend the celebration of Jean’s life.
We want the family to know we are thinking of them during this difficult time.
Sending sincere condolences to the family
Dear Nieces and Nephews
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. We feel your pain and loss no matter the distance in between .
Uncle Leon and Aunt Elaine & family.
So very sorry to hear that Jean has passed, she was such a strong person.
I have many childhood memories of Jean and Art and all my cousins. My parents Ruth and Roy and Jean and Art had so many good times and lots of laughs over the years. Lots of stores and memories. I remember them visiting here when my Dad(Roy) passed, they were a great comfort and help to my Mom(Ruth) at that time. It almost seemed they were meant to visit just at that time.
I’m finding it so sad that this generation is passing away, they were such a hard working people and were happy with what they had even when life was so hard at times.
I hope you all can find comfort in your memories and support each other during this sad time.
Sorry to hear of Jeans death. I was best man at your parents wedding many years ago. First cousin of Art.
