Marguerite M. Beliveau
Marguerite M. Beliveau, age 80 years of Moose Jaw, SK passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 6th, 2018. She was predeceased by her first husband, Rosaire Beliveau (1994); and her parents, Antoine (2002) and Yvonne (2011) Pirio. Marguerite leaves to mourn her second husband, Jim Smith; daughter, Giselle (Andrew) Prosser; step-son, Paul (Janet) Schmidt; step-daughter, Barbara (Darvin) Harden; grandchildren: Shelby and Thomas Prosser, James Schmidt, Austin and Carter Schmidt; brother, Louis (Loretta) Pirio; sister, Yvette (Peter) Taraviras; brother, Albert Pirio; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Marguerite was born on December 28th, 1937 in Fontana, California, USA and was raised on the family farm in Radville, SK. She married Rosaire Beliveau and moved to Moose Jaw in 1958. Marguerite’s early years were consumed by music. She worked, owned and operated Assiniboia Music until 1988; she played the piano and sang in St. Joseph’s Church Choir. Marguerite spent her golden years on the farm with her husband Jim, enjoying traveling in between farming seasons to see family or to enjoy the warm sun in Arizona, Cuba, and most recently in Mexico. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 14th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3 Ave NW, Moose Jaw, SK. Reverend George (Varki) Thattuparampil will be the presiding celebrant and interment will take place in Sunset Cemetery. A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, March 13th, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Flowers are gratefully declined. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Marguerite’s name may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association, 650 Coteau St W, Moose Jaw, SK S6H 5E6.
