My condolences, Beth, on the passing of a great man and a friend to all. I first met Morley when he hired me to survey for the Department in 1974 (I was a student attending Kelsey Institute at the time), and found him to be the kind of supervisor and mentor who treated people fairly and with respect, which, I found out during my career, was a rare commodity within the Department.
Morley worked hard, played hard and spoke fondly of his family, particularly the swimming achievements of his daughters. He could be serious, but also enjoyed a good story shared around a barbecue. My life is definitely richer for having known him and having had the opportunity to work along side him.
He will be missed by his numerous friends and co-workers; rest in peace, my friend.
