Joseph “John” Barnett
Joseph “John” Barnett, aged 90 years of Moose Jaw, passed away peacefully September 9th, 2010. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 14th, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin Seaborg officiating. Burial will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. John was born to Edith and Edward Barnett on the homestead in the Lillestrom district on August 16th, 1920. John was predeceased by his parents Edith and Edward, special uncle Joe Barnett, his wife Eva in 2001, daughter Elaine Meadows in 1974, brothers Phil and Leo, and sister Dorothy Sapergia. John will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Shirley(Allan) Lemieux; son Clifford; his grandchildren – Elaine’s children Douglas (Patti), Sandra (Edwin) and Kelvin (Shelley), Shirley’s children Todd, Darren (Yasmina) and Beverly (James), and Cliff’s children Blaine (Tina), Joey and Brian and their mother Bonnie; brothers Bill, Charlie (Peggy) and Allan (Sherry); sisters Edie Keen, Phyllis Craig and Alice (Bruce) Brander; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the management and staff of Oxford Place for all their acts of kindness to Dad who had recently moved there. Flowers are gratefully declined.
