Truman Albert Bailey
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Truman Albert Bailey, aged 98 years of Moose Jaw, SK. Truman passed away with his family by his side on Thursday, November 24th, 2016 at Providence Place in Moose Jaw. Truman was born in Tugaske, SK on January 19th, 1918. He married Jessie Blakley on July 22nd, 1940 and together they farmed at Tugaske until 1973, when they acquired land north of Moose Jaw and continued to farm there until he was 88 with the help of son-in-law Kelly. Truman loved Saskatchewan and thought it was the best place you could be. For many years his winter time was spent curling as he was an avid competitor in bonspiels and provincial play downs. Truman was the beloved husband of the late Jessie Bailey (2012) for 72 years. He was predeceased by his parents, William (Bill) Bailey and Dora (Thompson); sister, Irene Snetsinger (Harry). Truman will be greatly missed by his daughters, Shelley (Kelly) Anaka and Dora Lynn (Stu) Millard; and son, Frank (Goldie). He will be remembered by grandchildren: Kristen (Ryan) Englot, Tigra and Logan Bailey, Krista (Scott) Dedrick, and Brett (Sherece) Millard; great-grandchildren: Grace and Lily Dedrick, Jacob and Jack Millard; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Brown, the staff at Providence Place St. Anthony’s Wing, and Bedside Manners (Tracy, Nichole, Nina and Sheena) for their care over the years. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 30th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home. Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Truman’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
