Jessie Bailey
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jessie Bailey, aged 97 years of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Jessie passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, August 28th, 2012 at Providence Place in Moose Jaw. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 31st, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in Moose Jaw Funeral Home (268 Mulberry Lane). Pastor Marvin Seaborg will officiate and interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. Jessie was born in Bethune, SK. on December 28th, 1914, where she received her education. She graduated from Normal School in Regina and taught at Bethune and Bridgeford. Jessie married Truman Bailey on July 22nd, 1940 and together they farmed at Tugaske until 1973 when they purchased the farm north of Moose Jaw. She has resided in Moose Jaw until her passing. Jessie was predeceased by her parents Ernest and Margaret Blakley; brothers: Floyd, Thomas Achen (T.A), Baler, Gillis, Grant, Alvin; and her sisters Florence and Lodica. Jessie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 72 years Truman; daughters Shelley (Kelly) Anaka, Dora Lynn (Stu) Millard; son Frank (Goldie) Bailey; grandchildren Kristen (Ryan) Englot, Tigra and Logan Bailey, Krista (Scott) Dedrick, Brett (Sherece) Millard; great grandchildren Grace and Lily Dedrick, Jacob and Jack Millard; sister Alice Dunkeld; as well as sister in law Irene Snetsinger. For those so wishing, memorial donations may be made in Jessie’s name to a Charity of One’s choice. The family would like to thank Dr. Sanderson, Dr. Luhning, Home Care and Donna’s Compassionate Care for their care over the years.
