Ronald George Bader
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ronald George Bader of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on Sunday, November 1st, 2009 at the age of 59 years. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 6th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Moose Jaw Alliance Church. Ron was predeceased by his father Gus Bader. He is survived by Shelley, his loving wife of 34 years; his daughter Melissa (Dean) Bader-Oystreck; his sons Matthew (Kimber) and KyleO’Brien; his mother Elsie; sisters Rosalie and Joy (David) Nelson; in-laws Heather and Randy Miller, Don Campbell; his faithful companion Zeke; his much loved nieces and nephews; numerous extended family and friends. He was a loving and devoted husband and father, an eternal optimist, a man of faith, and a pillar of strength. Ron was born on September 5th, 1950 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, raised and educated in Hodgeville, Saskatchewan. He took his grade 12 at Luther College in Regina and attended University in Saskatoon, where he obtained his Law Degree and a BA in Economics. He married Shelley Campbell on December 28th, 1974 and began a career in Law. After moving to Swift Current he practiced law, and worked with his dad at Gus Bader & Son Agri Products. In April, 1982, Melissa Jenelle, Ron’s pride and joy, joined the family. The family moved to Moose Jaw in 1987 so that Ron could pursue his dream of building grain bins. He created and manufactured the “Bader Bin” which still stand tall and proud throughout the prairies. December 1987 brought the family an early Christmas gift Matthew Kyle. Ron did not feel that his family was complete until he had a son. He returned to practicing law full-time, however, his love for agriculture drew him back to the land, and he established Farms of Canada Realty, where he enjoyed selling farm land until his untimely passing. He has touched all our lives, and will never be forgotten. For those so wishing, memorial donations in Ron’s name may be made to the Avonlea Free Methodist Church, Box 184, Avonlea, Sask. S0H 0C0 or The Canadian Diabetes Association, 917A Albert St., Regina, Sk., S4R 2P6.
Ron was truly a kind, gentle soul. May God hold him in his loving arms.
